About Barrio Energy

Barrio Energy is a Houston-based energy infrastructure company founded by Ivan Pinney. It acquires and develops small powered industrial sites in Texas towns with spare grid capacity and leases them to digital infrastructure, battery storage and industrial tenants whose loads can flex with the grid. Barrio's first powered land project began in 2021; the portfolio now spans eight sites from West Texas to the Gulf Coast. Barrio also publishes Barrio Grid, a public map and API of Texas substations, transmission lines, ERCOT queue projects and planned upgrades, and The Grid Report, a weekly analysis of the Texas power market. Barrio Energy is Barrio Resources LLC.
